Wentbridge candle keeps those ‘getaway’ memories burning bright
A country escape to a grand Georgian-style manor house. Luxury. Elegance. Indulgence. Relaxation. If only there was a way to keep that dreamy getaway vibe happening once you return to the realities of everyday life…
Well, you can.
Light the wick of this divine souvenir candle and rekindle the mood of your Wentbridge House stay time and time again.
Wentbridge House, a four-star hotel and events venue set on 20 acres, is known for its individually styled bedrooms, delicious seasonal dining options (AA rosette awarded) and outstanding personalised service.
It’s a favoured spot for romantic stays, weddings, or as a base to explore West Yorkshire’s idyllic countryside or bustling arts and commercial centres.
Wentbridge staff know how to create just the right atmosphere, whatever your reason for visiting, always with a regard for the local environment and sustainability.
The souvenir candle is handmade in small batches in the UK, from ethically sourced soy wax, a vegan-friendly material that is long-burning and delivers a pure fragrance. In the case of the Wentbridge candle, that fragrance is a decadent and calming mix of essential oils: sweet orange, cinnamon, clove and patchouli. Bliss.
With the recommendation that you burn the candle for one to two hours each time, expect to enjoy about 40 hours of Wentbridge House mood, at home.
The Wentbridge candle is available to buy at any time during your stay. There are two sizes, a single-wick version and a larger candle with three wicks.
To keep your Wentbridge memories burning bright, follow these candle care tips:
- Always allow at least 30 minutes’ burn time, or until liquid wax covers the whole surface. This ensures you avoid ‘tunnelling’, utilise all the wax and maximise the release of the scent.
- Avoid burning for longer than three to four hours, which can overheat the wax, create soot and damage the fragrant oils.
- When done for the day, either blow out the candle gently or invest in a proper snuffer or wick dipper, to avoid mess and maintain a healthy wick.
- Keep the wick trimmed to about a quarter of an inch (5mm) above the candle surface. Make sure it’s centred and straight.
- Clear away soot with a dry cloth and pluck any debris out of the wax with tweezers as soon as you see it.
Wentbridge House is in the charming and historic village of Wentbridge, not far from the A1, between Leeds and Doncaster. Book a stay by clicking here.
